2008-09 Football City Championship Game on TV

I was channel surfing at home one day and discovered that the 2008-09 Football City Championship Game in which our Union Grove Grizzlies destroyed the Smith Leopards is being shown on Channel 200 of Time Warned Cable.

Channel 200 is Central Texas on Demand. When you turn on the channel it needs to load up first and then the channel will give you options. One of the options is High School Football. Select this options and it will show you the different school districts of the area. Select Killeen ISD and one of the game will be UGMS vs Smith, select this and it will play. The quality is very good, and it shows the whole game.

I watched it yesterday and it was great. GOOD JOB KISD AND TIME WARNER CABLE.

GO UGMS GRIZZLIES!!!

Former Players

It is always great to see your see your former players.

Friday, while shopping at the HEB at Harker Heights, I saw Marvin Jackson. Marvin was our running back during the 2006-07 school year. He is probably the best running back I have ever coached. Not only could he make people miss, he was also willing to lower his shoulder and pound any defender foolish enough to try to tackle him. Besides being a great football player, he was also an exceptional track and field runner, that ran the 400 metes in 57 seconds in 7th grade. He was also part of the 7th Grade KISD Track and Field Championship Team for 2006-07.

Marvin will be a Sophomore at Harker Heights High School this coming school year (2009-2010) and more than likely will be playing Varsity Football.

GO UGMS GRIZZLIES!!!
